Who Knew

Who Knew

Who Knew was born in a heat-less garage in Reykjavik, Iceland for about four years ago.
On stage lead singer Ármann Ingvi Ármannson has been compared with the likes of David Byrne with a panic attack. And with the rest of the band consisting of Snorri Eldjárn Snorrason (lead guitar), Jökull Huxley Yngvason (Bass), Jón Valur Guðmundsson (drums) and Hilmir Berg Ragnarsson (synthesizer) debut album “Bits and pieces of a major spectacle” was released in the spring of 2010.

Even though the songs on the album can sound all of the same, they do have a hint of a garage band with the likes of The Libertines high on sugar. The music sound a bit ..violent? But then again, they’ve a mixture you just don’t want to miss. How often do you hear a blend of garage punk, synth rock and noisy lo-fi rock, eh?

Piano Club

Piano Club

Right, Piano Club! They don’t play piano (at all), are influenced by music from the 80’s (read: Duran Duran, Depeche Mode, David Bowie.. that sort of stuff) and have a music video comprising of superheroes (Love Hurts – see video below!). So, if you like that kind of stuff, you need this cup of tea!

They’re one of the bands coming out of the productive Belgian collective Jaune Orange and released debut album Andromedia earlier this year. In addition to all that 80’s stuff, you can hear some Beatles -, Blonde Redhead – , and Melody Club – vibes in there. The composition is inventive, fun and absolutely catchy.

Love Hurts

Rox

Rox

Rox grew up in a world filled with musicals and gospel choirs. Something you can hear some of in this music.

She have an amazing voice, and her lyrics, mostly about love, lost love, heartfelt love, long-desired love and young memorable love, makes her to a more or less modern Lauryn Hill or Mary J. Blige.

She’s more than that. And her music is more than just love. This is a upbeat and feel good mixture of deep, happy, souly, rock steady, happy soul and energetic ballads you’ll love.

Debut album “Memoirs” was released in June 2010. And it’s absolutely worth to check out.

Circus Envy

Circus Envy

Circus Envy are an alternative band formed in Hull (the best band from Hull) in 2005, by Leigh Hirst, Andy Clark, Mick Harding, James Paddison and Mike Richmond.

They play primarily acoustic instruments, and add a traditional sensibility to their intricately crafted harmony-led modern songs with use of bouzouki, mandolin and cajon.

And have released debut album, ‘Take Me Home’ (2008) – something that led to the band being selected to play at the Beverley and Oxford Folk Festivals. High profile support gigs including Jim Moray, Megson, Martin Simpson and Jackie Leven have cemented the band’s reputation as a live act.

The band’s latest EP, “A New Dawn”, produced by Stu Hanna and featuring guest appearances by Sam Sweeney and Hannah James, was released in 2010. The band is currently on the road promoting the EP and will return to the studio later in the year to commence work on their second album.

“A New Dawn” has an overall great musical composition, where you can everything from the acoustically beautiful “A New Dawn”. The lovely vocals and a great ensemble of violin and acoustic – something that makes it a great opening track.

The more typical country folk sound can be heard in “Going Nowhere” and “Three Score and Ten”.

To the upbeat guitar and flute driven “The Game” and well written “The Night Draws Closer”, which has a great blend of an acoustic guitar and a piano.

Ruberlaris

Ruberlaris is a five piece ska band coming out of Sheffield and Chesterfield, UK. The lineup is Chris Alsop, Adam Davidson, Mickey Beswick, Andy Copeland and John Smith.

They’ve been described as a mixture of Coral and Madness *and* Gogol Bordello and the Specials. Things have only went one way for these guys so far; sellout gigs in Sheffield, Leicester and London, 370 sold copies of the last EP “Beneath the Spire”, which reached number 1 in the Chesterfield independent single charts in April 2009 (in its first week of release).

And regular radio plays on several radio stations, including; Jim Gelatly (XFM, Radio Scotland), Mr Robinson (BBC 6 Introducing) and features in The Guardian and The Times.

Music Go Music

Music Go Music = ABBA Go ELO! That’s everyone’s first thoughts about this band. The glory 70’s is back; they sound mistakenly like ABBA (read: Waterloo) and ELO with the most brilliant mixture of sparkly disco pop, prog-metal disco, Scissor Sisters folk and sunshine disco-theatre pop!

Debut album ”Expressions” was released in April 2010, by the trio of Torg, Gala Bell and Kamer Maza.

Azoora – Tension EP

Azoora – Tension EP

Azoora are an inventive musical duo consisting of Paul Loader (songwriter, vocals, acoustic guitar) and John Purcell (producer, composer, multi-instrumentalist). They’re signed to 23 Seconds, a Gothenburg based netlabel. They released their fifth EP “Tension” in July 2010.

“Tension” has a unique and pretty diverse musical style with elements from trip hop, psychedelic, garage punk,  progressive jazz, to rock and electronica – to name a few..

The vocals are laidback – and at the same time immense and mystical, and gives an overall interesting addition to the music.

The music has a systematic style that can sound messy from time to time, but has some sound effects that makes the music complete.

The opening track “The King” and “Tension’s” style is upbeat rocky and gives an absolute irresistible opening to the EP. They both give you the laidback vocals, that actually is a bit noisy and suit the musical ensemble of psychedelic, industrial western folk and electronic ambient theme perfectly.

“Predetermined” has a theme that easily pin this music to be a systematic electronic chaos. The sound effects are diverse,– the effects give both an old and new progressive feel.

“Premeditated” sound fresh and are a great instrumental track, and a good interlude of the EP. The tracks sound is tidy and has a rhythm that is easy to like with a number of sounds effects additions through the song.

The last tracks “Pretense Release” have an electronic- dub style, and introduce you to yet another chapter of the creativity to Azoora.

Band Bios: The Midnight Beast & Parry Gripp

Band Bios:

The Midnight Beast | Parry Gripp

The Midnight Beast

Bands on YouTube can use one single tag to describe their music. The Midnight Beast use the tag ”clown”. That suits them pretty well!

The Midnight Beast are Stefan Abingdon (the afro singer), Dru Wakely (whose dad neglected him and ran away on Christmas Eve) and Ashley Horne (the one with special powers), a group of guys based in London. They’re first and foremost known for their cover of Ke$ha’s “Tik Tok”. A cover even she thought was better than her own – Says Perez Hilton.

The Midnight Beast cover songs, and write deep and meaningful music you either hate or love.

Tags: clown, punk, pop.

Good songs: Tik Tok, Friends for Never (video), Lez be Friends.

Parry Gripp

Parry Gripp write songs about cats flushing the toilet and his ringtone. I don’t know where he gets his inspiration, and I’m not sure if I want to know it either.

He’s founder of Nerf Herder (a punk rock band) and write songs children songs for grownups, and it’s the closest you can come to insane happiness.

As a songwriter, Gripp is best known for fake jingles, as in his 2005 solo album For Those About to Shop, We Salute You – a 52-track concept album mimicking various musical styles as product commercials. He also maintains a song-of-the-week website and a YouTube channel on which he creates soundtracks to internet memes as well as music videos for his own novelty songs, with titles including “Do You Like Waffles?” and “I’m Hungry.”

Tags: happy pop, insane pop, children music you should listen to.

Good songs: Nom Nom Nom Nom ..  (video), I got no iPhone, Cat Flushing the Toilet.

Generationals

Generationals

Generationals are the creation of long time friends Grant Widmer and Ted Joyner. The band formed after their old band “The Eames Era” broke up.

They’re based in New Orleans, have toured with Apples in Stereo, and the debut album “Con Law” was ranked as #26 in Owl and Bear’s Top 30 albums of ’09.

The whole album “Con Law” is a easy listening, and you can hear bits from tromped pop, upbeat pop, retro – 60’s inspired pop, and some good influences from lo-fi inspired psychedelic pop/rock.

“When they Fight, They Fight” is a vintage and funky pop inspired piece of work. That could just as well be a good hit in the good old fashioned days. The mix of an old style and some electronic pop makes this to a good example of “old meet new”.

Angry Charlie

Geographer

Geographer

Geographer are a band from San Francisco. They are Michael Deni (vocals, guitar, keys, synths and bass), Nathan Blaz (electronics) and Brian Ostreicher (drums). They’ve also had company of several other musicians.

They have released three records; “Innocent Ghosts”, “Kites” and “Animal Shapes” and are nominated as one of “three undiscovered bands you need to hear now” in SPIN Magazine.

Their sound is unique; it’s Nintendo pop (read: old edition) something you can hear in “Paris”. And a carefully crafted mix of electronic pop (both 80’s inspired and new electronic) and synth pop.

“Can’t You Wait” introduce you to a deep and simple mix of electronic pop, with some rock influences. And it makes you somehow think of a mini Polyphonic Spree.

”Rushing in Rushing out” is melodramatically beautiful. And it almost sounds like a modern synth ballad.

Can’t You Wait

1, 2, 3 – look, Darwin Deez!

1, 2, 3

.. are a band! Or rather a duo consisting of long time friends Nic Snyder (vox, guitar and keys) and Josh Sickels (drums). Originally started out as a side project, the band “1, 2, 3″ was officially formed in November last year, and are already signed to Rough Trade Records, have released a 7″ single and a UK single “Going away Party” (21.4).

The sound of 1, 2, 3 is the sound of a sunny and late summers day in the 70′s. Preferable late at night, while you’re waiting for something to happen. The style is urban psychedelic rock (Going away Party), with some heavy influences from so-called-future rock. From the 80′s, almost like alternative new wave ..rock.
This music is quite lo-fi, and it’s almost sounds like a ballad(s) (Can’t Bribe God, Feeling Holy, Confetti) sometimes so alternative it’s indescribable.

Darwin Deez

Darwin Deez is Darwin Deez, the only one. And came out of nowhere last year (ok, not quite.. he know Boy Crisis and MGMT,  and play(ed) sometime in Creaky Boards.)

Darwin Smith writes, records, produces and arranges using a 4-string electric guitar in his own invented, secret tuning. And creates “happy music for sad people”, “white music for black people” and “indie rock with a side of calisthenics”. Respectable. It’s funky lo-fi dub and alternative electronica.

He released his self-titled debut album on April 12th, and are currently touring Europe.

Joanna Erdos and the Midnight Show

Joanna Erdos and the Midnight Show

Joanna Erdos is a singer and songwriter born and based in Brooklyn, New York. She’s known for her unique, beautifully rich and dreamy voice, and for having that kind of voice (and music) that most likely will melt your heart or tear it apart.

Joanna Erdos and her band The Midnight Show have so far released one (self-titled) album (2008). A catchy album with a musical style that makes even the craziest song sound heartbreaking and sweet.

This is urban folk. A beautiful mix of music sung directly from her heart makes this music warm and memorable. The music is highly enjoyable and makes you feel it, sense it, and somehow involve yourself in the music. The mix of urban folk, indie rock and piano rock is a mixture you don’t hear so often, and when it’s presents like this, just makes you want more.

Sexy Secrets

Pearl and the Beard

Pearl and the Beard

Pearl and the Beard is three voices, one cello, one guitar, one glockenspiel, one melodica, several drums, one accordion, ninety-six teeth, and one soul.

They’re based in New York and released their debut album “God Bless Your Weary Soul, Amanda Richardson” last year.

This music is inventive and atmospheric folk. With a dreamy, theatrical and lively a capella a like folk dub feeling, that makes this music highly enjoyable.

“Oh, death!” represent easily the best from this group as it is a urban orchestral, upbeat, urban and rural sort of thing, with a impeccable and upbeat rhythm.

The Bloodsugars is a innovative band from Brooklyn, New York and consists of Jason Rabinowitz, Matt Katz, Brendan O’Grady and Kenneth Salters.

They create 80′s inspired new wave, synth pop and modern rock inspired music with some hints of funk.

The band was formed in 2008 and they released their debut album “I Can’t Go On, I’ll Go On” in November 2009, but they could just as well be a band from the 80′s. As they have something of the creativity to Prefab Sprout and Modern Talking.

Purpose was Again

Emanuel and the Fear

Emanuel and the Fear

Emanuel and the Fear is a modern big band centered around Emanuel Ayvas.

They are based in Brooklyn, NY and are Jeff Gretz, Gil Goldin, Dallin Applebaum, Dan Tirer, Nic Cowles, Tom Swafford, Liz Hanley, Brian Sanders, David Nelson and Chris Coletti.

They are inspired by everything and everyone, from Beethoven – to Final Fantasy. Have released one self-titled EP (2009) and the debut album “Listen” was released in early 2010. And are most likely one of the most optimistic, exciting and most promising new acts of the year.
The sound of Emanuel and the Fear is unique.  They don’t fit in a specific genre as they can sound like everything from a piano pop to modern soft folk.
Or, they’re like a modern Polyphonic Spree focused on orchestral pop/rock, upbeat epicness and eleven people’s interpretation on great music.

The Rain Become the Clouds

They are indie, going on..

..something bigger?

Three new and upcoming bands I’ve felt for lately are Wakey!Wakey!, The Queen Killing Kings and The Love Language. They have all recently released a new album, are pretty new in the game, and create upbeat and unique music. Mmm – reason enough to check them out!

Wakey!Wakey!

Mike Grubbs (Wakey!Wakey! is not his real name) and his band are based in Brooklyn, New York. He have so far released War Sweater EP (May 2009) and his debut album “Almost Everything I Wish I’d Said The Last Time I Saw You…” came out in February 2010.

He had his first breakthrough in November ’09 when two of his songs were featured on One Tree Hill, where he also play a role himself.

The best description for Wakey!Wakey!’s music is upbeat, funky and urban pop/rock with a unique musical composition. He have also an incredible voice that suit the music and its whistleling style perfectly.

The Queen Killing Kings

The Queen Killing Kings are a rock band coming out of New Haven, Connecticut. They are Coley O’Toole, Joe Ballaro, Dan Duggins and Zac Clark, have played together since 2006 (originally started out as a duo) and have performed on various venues in LA and New York.

They released the debut album “Tidal Eyes” in July 2009.

The Queen Killing Kings play energetic 90′s inspired rock with some influences from some newer rock. The style is unique and a nice and characteristic voice makes this music to something you don’t forget after first listen.

The Love Language are really something. They are based in Chapel Hill, North Carolina and are Stuart McLamb (electric guitar, vocals), Jordan McLamb (acoustic guitar, percussion, vocals), Junis Beefmonth (electric guitar, vocals), Missy Thangs (keyboard, vocals), Joshua Pope (bass guitar), Kate Thompson (organ) and Thomas Simpson (drum kit).

And they have so far released their self-titled album “The Love Language” (March 2009).

Their musical style can easily be described as a lo-fi Spanish pop inspired retro band with some heavy influences from modern – and soft shoegaze. Or in other words; a unique style.

Givers

Givers

Givers are Taylor Guarisco, Teddy Tif Lamson, Josh Leblanc, William Henderson and Kirby Campbell and they are a bunch of people who create upbeat and highly enjoyable music.

They’re based in Lafayette, Louisiana and have so far released one self-titled EP.

The first official single is “Up, up, up”. This is a upbeat alternative pop/rock track with some heavy folk influences.

The rest of the music can be described as a mix of a party edition of Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes and disco pop band who just play to have fun. Something you really can hear through the music, as it’s pure fun.

Leddra Chapman

Leddra Chapman

Leddra Chapman are one of the artists out there you wonder where have been hiding your whole life, simply because her music is so outstanding and unlikely beautiful.

She’s a self-taught singer/songwriter, and picked up her father acoustic guitar at the age of 12. While other kids were busy playing video game and watching High School Musical.

Leddra Chapman play all the instruments herself, is a student at London College of Music, and released her debut album “Telling Tales” independently in November 2009.

Her style has previously been described like “filling a similar space to early Alanis Morissette and Joni Mitchell”. That and her peculiar lovely and comfortable voice are some of the things that makes this music so unforgettable.

Story

Zeus

Zeus

Zeus is Mike O’Brien, Carlin Nicholson, Rob Drake and Neil Quin. A Canadian band formed in 2009.

They released their debut EP “Sounds like Zeus” in June 2009 and the debut album “Say Us” in February 2010. Both through Arts & Crafts records.

”Say Us” contains everything from 60’s inspired classic rock from the likes of The Band, Bob Dylan, and the rocky part from the Beatles. To a newer modern rock classic – with some psychedelic a like rock influences.

That, with a mix of southern rock. Something you clearly can hear in “The Renegade”, with some saxophone rock (of all things) and in “I know”.

The opening track on “Say Us”, “How does it feel” are some of the strongest tracks on the album, where they both have that classical rock feeling, and sound a bit like the Kinks.

Marching Through Your Head

Jukebox The Ghost

Jukebox The Ghost

Jukebox the Ghost is a piano driven pop band, born in Washington, now loving in Philadelphia. They have toured extensively since 2006.

They toured with Ben Folds  in 2009, across the USA, followed by a UK/Europe tour from February 2010.

Their first “Let Live and Let Ghosts” was released in USA in 2008, and internationally in 2010, in the occasion of the Europe tour. A second album are set to be released in 2010.

The whole “Let Live and Let Ghosts” album is a brilliant album that almost sounds like a concept album as the songs glide in to each other, and starts where the last one ends.

The most notable transition is between ” Miss Templeton’s 7000th Dream” to “Static to the Heart”, something that proved to be most energetic track on the whole album.

Dark Relationships

The Cesarians

The Cesarians is Charlie Finke, Justine Armatage, Jan Noble, Suzi Owen, Alison Beckett and Beverley Crome. A cabaret group from London.

If the spirit of rock & roll has hauled himself out of bed. He’s called up his demons, put on his best black suit, and returned to the city’s dark places. The Cesarians would most likely be the result.

This music is dark, mellow, and carry the influences or being a heavy cabaret, trompet folk, and piano dub kind of band.

They’ve released one album so far, The Cesarians 1, in 2009.

“Dethstar” is an inventive and upbeat alternative trumpet folk rock piece that growing instantly through the song, and it literally just gets better and better.

Oh Mercy

Oh Mercy

Oh Mercy, there’s just something about this music. It must be the combination of classical pop and soft folk pop that makes this music as good as it is.

Oh Mercy are Alexander Gow (vocals, guitar), Thomas Savage (piano, guitar, vocals), Eliza Lam (bass, vocals) and Rohan Sforcina (drums).

They were formed in 2006 in Melbourne, Victoria. And were one of the most discussed bands upon the inception of the current ‘Triple J Unearthed’ format, they were rewarded in 2007 with a slot at Australia’s biggest festival, the Big Day Out.

The debut EP “In the nude for Love” was released in 2009, followed by the debut album “Privileged Woes” the same year.

“Seemed like a Good Idea” is a uplifting and perfectly constructed pop piece of work. The gently vocals, soft rock guitar strings, with some influences from folk pop.

Sherlock’s Daughter

Sherlock’s Daughter

They released their self-titled debut EP in late 2009, and have so far toured with School of Seven Bells and the Temper Trap. Now it’s their turn to take the world by storm.

“Sherlock’s Daughter” consists of five uplifting, folky and atmospheric tracks. And it’s like a mix of psychedelic folk, hippie folk, dreamy and experimental pop and indietronica.

This is something that makes this music well developed, and ahead of time. And somehow, a lighter (and less quirky) version of Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros.

Song for old people

Quiet Company

Quiet Company

Quiet Company is a band from Austin, Texas. They are Taylor Muse, Thomas Blank, Matt Parmenter and Jeff Weathers.

They released the debut album “Shine Honesty” in 2006, from Northern Records, LA. The last album “Everyone You Love Will Be Happy Soon” was released exactly three years later.

They also recorded a cover of “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” for the 2007 release of Peace on Earth: A Holiday Album.

Quiet Company give you optimistic, uplifting and piano rock drives tunes that is easy to like to like if you’re into this kind of music. The lyrics are mainly about life, relationships, happiness and the hope for a better world. Without being a converting band.

The interaction of power pop, power rock, piano rock and a bunch of percussion instruments makes this music sound unique, happy and immortal.

Scott Matthew

Scott Matthew

Scott Matthew is a singer and songwriter from Queensland, Australia, who currently resides in New York City.

He was a former member of the alt pop band Elva Snow, which he co-founded with ex-Morrissey member Spencer Cobrin.  He currently perform as an independent artist, and have released Elva Snow (2005), Scott Matthew (album) (2007), Silent Nights EP (2008) and There Is An Ocean That Divides (2009).

This music is like a melancholy dream. The vocals are strong, emotional and artistically. And the music reminds you pretty much of Antony and the Johnsons. Just less quirky.
It also, somehow puts a spell on you. It’s a less version of chamber pop, and at the same time an orchestral sound.

Market Me To Children is a wonderfully emotional. The combination of classical music and a wonderful vocal makes this to a proper masterpiece.

The Travelling Band

I think folk is cosy. The Travelling Band is one of those bands that bring life to the good old folk style, with no special effects attached.

They are Adam Gorman, Snaf Ballinger, Jo Dudderidge, Steve Mullen, Nick Vaal, Chris Spencer and Dicky Levs. And they come from sunny Manchester.

They’re signed to Sideways Saloon and released the debut album “Under the Pavement” in 2008.

This music is like a road trip in the middle of nowhere on a hot summer day. The mix elements of folk rock, rockabilly rock and tangerine pop, something that makes this music sound fresh and uplifting.

i.N.V.E.R.T is a happy pop/folky kind of thing and can just as well be taken directly from the soundtrack of an good old western movie. Just as much as pop/rock from the 90′s.

Only Waiting

ART vs SCIENCE

ART vs SCIENCE

Art vs. Science are one of those bands that most likely can be famous for being so damn original. The music is like a mix of electronic pop, alternative pop, new rave and outer space pop.

They are Jim Finn, Dan McNamee and Dan Williams. They come from Sydney, and have played together quite a lot.

And have so far released a five-track self-titled EP (2009). All the tracks were written over a 48 hrs intensive writing session in 2008.

This music is virtual insanity. It’s intensive, experimental and crazy music that is “crafted carefully according to principles abstracted from the study of human responses to music.”

Parlez vous francais? is that kind of track that you can’t stop humming on when you first listen to it (and the music video doesn’t make it any better.) This is a rhythmic and electronic type of thing.

Parlez vous francais?

Findo Gask

Findo Gask

Findo Gask are Gerard Black (vocals & synths), Michael Marshall (guitar, grums, synths & programming), Gregory Williams (bass, vocals, synths & guitar) and Gavin Thomson (synths, vocals, programming, guitar, gass). And they are a electro synth pop band from Glasgow.

This music is quite 80′s. And it’s like hearing a crossing of the synth to Boy George and Simple Minds, with a Scottish accent. The result is nostalgic electro new wave and energetic synth pop.

They have releases so far; One Eight Zero, Va Va Va and Findo Gask/Errors split 7″.

Va Va Va is a typical inventive electro pop track. The elements of some computer animated sounds mixed with a steady drum machine and a whole bunch of other elements makes this music futuristic and at the same time a modern early 80′s inspired new wave track.

One Eight Zero

Your Twenties

Your Twenties

Your Twenties is a new band from London, born in 2008 and consist of Gabriel Stebbing (vocals, guitar, keyboards), Michael Lovett (backing vocals, bass), James Hoare (backing vocals, guitar), Robin Christian (drums).

The debut EP Caught Wheel was released in the autumn 2009 and consists of three brilliant, original, 60’s a like tracks. This music is easy to like if you’re into experimental pop with a nice touch of psychedelic trash. The combination is unbreakable and can be the first sound of something big.

The debut single “Caught Wheel” is experimental piece of work. The mix of a synthy and acoustic guitar and electro pop makes this to the likes of a modern 80’s track.

The long awaited debut album will be released sometime this year!

The Lounge Crusade

The Lounge Crusade

The Lounge Crusade were formed in 2009 from the ashes of Lincoln bands The Idlers and Kadence.

They are Nathan Berger (lead vox and acoustic guitar), Joel Berger (piano and backing vox), Chris Pearson (lead guitar), Steven Esberger (bass), Jason Parker (percussion).

Since The Lounge Crusade is a pretty new band, they haven’t released any EP or albums yet. A four track demo set is available on their MySpace profile.

Demos or not – this music is pure quality. It’s harmonic, yet upbeat and acoustic.

In Time is a great acoustic pop ballad. The intense and at the same time steady and upbeat piano makes this music sound alive a keeps you listening with a combination of acoustic guitar riffs.

Beck and Call
is a great little pop song. It’s got a good piano rhythm and bassy guitar combined with a funky and foot tapping chorus.

Little Red

Little Red

Little Red are Adrian Beltrame (guitar, vocals), Dominic Byrne (vocals, guitar), Quang Dinh (vocals, bass), Taka Honda (drums) and Tom Hartney (vocals, percussion). A five piece pop band based in Melbourne, Australia.

Little Red was formed in 2005, and was featured on Triple J Unearthed. They released the debut album Listen to Little Red independently in Australia in 2008 and have received regular plays on Triple J (Australian nation-wide radio station) and were voted #47 on the 2008 Triple J Hottest 100.

Listen to Little Red will be released internationally in early 2010.

This band could just as well be a oldies rock and roll band like the one they had in the 60′s. Try an unabashed guitar, and funky punk pop and you have Little Red.

This music makes you wanna dance and sing like no one is watching. Little Red makes the sound of modern time rock ‘n’ roll and with the combination of  ‘doo-wop punk’ and three vocalists singing for your attention. They can’t do it wrong.
