ART vs SCIENCE

ART vs SCIENCE

Art vs. Science are one of those bands that most likely can be famous for being so damn original. The music is like a mix of electronic pop, alternative pop, new rave and outer space pop.

They are Jim Finn, Dan McNamee and Dan Williams. They come from Sydney, and have played together quite a lot.

And have so far released a five-track self-titled EP (2009). All the tracks were written over a 48 hrs intensive writing session in 2008.

This music is virtual insanity. It’s intensive, experimental and crazy music that is “crafted carefully according to principles abstracted from the study of human responses to music.”

Parlez vous francais? is that kind of track that you can’t stop humming on when you first listen to it (and the music video doesn’t make it any better.) This is a rhythmic and electronic type of thing.

Parlez vous francais?

Little Red

Little Red

Little Red are Adrian Beltrame (guitar, vocals), Dominic Byrne (vocals, guitar), Quang Dinh (vocals, bass), Taka Honda (drums) and Tom Hartney (vocals, percussion). A five piece pop band based in Melbourne, Australia.

Little Red was formed in 2005, and was featured on Triple J Unearthed. They released the debut album Listen to Little Red independently in Australia in 2008 and have received regular plays on Triple J (Australian nation-wide radio station) and were voted #47 on the 2008 Triple J Hottest 100.

Listen to Little Red will be released internationally in early 2010.

This band could just as well be a oldies rock and roll band like the one they had in the 60′s. Try an unabashed guitar, and funky punk pop and you have Little Red.

This music makes you wanna dance and sing like no one is watching. Little Red makes the sound of modern time rock ‘n’ roll and with the combination of  ‘doo-wop punk’ and three vocalists singing for your attention. They can’t do it wrong.
