Chancellor Warhol

Chancellor Warhol

“I am the thread that accents, not the fabric that overwhelms.” Once in a while, true artistry comes along and the world takes notice. Chancellor Warhol is such an artist. Born Antonio Dewayne Boleyjack in Nashville, TN, Chancellor Warhol grew up engulfed in the diverse Nashville sound that shapes his very own music today. Combined with the natural love for fashion and design, he is an artist making his creative mark on the world.

Channeling an electro-rap style that is uniquely his own, Warhol released his first solo album, Japanese Lunchbox in 2010 (Voted Best Rap Album of 2010 by the Nashville Scene). His unconventional sound has earned him a place on stage at this year’s Bonnaroo, Austin City Limits, Atlanta’s A3C and headlining Next Big Nashville’s Soundland music festival. Warhol has also supported a long list of artists, including Questlove, Kid Cudi, G-Side, and Yelawolf. His music has been featured on the industry podcast “Bands Under the Radar”, HBO’s ‘Less Than Kind’, and the Gen Art Film Festival’s award winning film, Saeng-il (Birthday).

Clement Marfo & The Frontline

Clement Marfo & The Frontline

Clement Marfo & The Frontline are a seven-piece diverse collective from South London led by the charismatic Clement. Born to Ghanaian parents and raised in Kingston, South London, Clement has become something of a phenomenon in the underground British grime scene. Clement’s hard-hitting flow is complimented by the multi-talents of vocalist Kojo, Dion on drums, Jonny on bass, Rich and Dan on guitar and the sole female of the collective, Stacey, on keyboards and vocals.

Clement Marfo & The Frontline’s inimitable sound comes from their deft ability to fuse hip-hop, grime, rock and pop in a brilliantly idiosyncratic fashion. Known for their energetic and irrepressible live shows, the last year has seen them gain early radio support from Zane Lowe, Huw Stephens and Semtex; as well as playing live with a wide range of artists including Plan B, Example and Florence and The Machine. Last summer saw them play big shows at The Coronet for ‘Let’s Go Crazy, Hoxton Bar & Grill for ‘ILUVLIVE’ and Shoreditch House for ‘Wired’. They also took part in Sara Cox’s Insanity New Music Tour, playing at universities across the UK.

When We Were Young

The Neighbourhood

The Neighbourhood

After a brief look through the band’s Tumblr you can see the enigmatic The Neighbourhood already have been covered by several blogs and music sites; this will no doubt be one of the break out acts in 2012.

With a blend of dark pop, melodic pop rock and Lana Del Rey vibes, the Los Angeles based quintet will (as the rumours says) have an EP out this sping.
