Deep Sea Arcade
This band came literally out of the blue. And they are (or are going to be) one of the hottest new bands coming from out of the Sydney area. The lineup is: Nic Mckenzie (vocals), Nick Weaver (bass), Carlos Adura (drums), Tim Chamberlain (guitar) and Simon Relf (guitar).
If you have ever wanted to know what it would sound like if a modern The Kinks went psychedelic? This might be the answer.
They sound like all good things in music; the great bands from the 60’s (Kinks, Small Faces, Animals, Zombies etc) and that nice psychedelic sound combined with some killer guitar riffs and suitable drums.
This music is bright and dark at the same time, it has a unique sound of sea-breezed elements and this is the kind of music you don’t forget.
They are currently working on the debut album, due for a 2010 release.
