A fellowship of individually talented songwriters, initially brought together by a phonographic love for The Virgins, The Strokes, The Police and Phoenix, have finally emerged from their London hideout to introduce themselves.

Cha Cha is Blain McGuigan, Alex Cameron Ward and Sam Garbutt – a new trio ready to introduce you to a show you a new world of pop, pop funk, disco snd ra-rock. The result is “We Are” that was released in May 2010.

I cannot write about Wild Beasts without mention the fact that lead singer Hayden Thorpe sounds like a haunting werewolf in a desperate search for his lover.

This music is one of the rare types; not only does he have the wonderfully weird and deep vocals. But if you put them together with some lyrics (that sounds dirty no matter what he sings about), and their typical classical and experimental style – they’ll sound like a modern Sparks.

The music is haunting!

Wild Beasts has released two albums “Limbo Panto” (2008) and “Two Dancers” (2009).
