Villagers is Conor J. O’Brien. A singer and songwriter based in Dublin, Ireland. He creates upbeat and inventive folk and has (sometimes) been described as a new Conor Oberst – with a contemporary feel. He howl (literally), write deep and poetic lyrics and create that kind of rebellious – dramatic folk you don’t forget unless you want to.
Debut album “Becoming a Jackal” was released on June 8, and a tour is announced for October 2010.

Lawrence Arabia
Lawrence Arabia (James Milne) is an psychedelic folk artist from New Zealand. He released a (self titled) debut album in 2006 – the same year his band The Reduction Agents released debut album The Dance Reduction Agents. Both were nominated several Bnet awards, New Zealand’s public voted alternative radio awards.
A long awaited second album “Chant Darling” was released in 2009. The same year he joined a new band BARB. An album was released on August 24 2010.
This music is typical “feel good” folk music with a sneaky touch of 70’s folk and Kiwi rock. And it’s awesome because of the mix of shoubedoo folk and late night slow rock/folk along with some pretty good lyrics!
