The Superimposers

The Superimposers are a band that sound a bit like everything; Old and New, Valve and Digital, Fender and Mac and with inspirations diverse as Alice Coltrane to The Kinks, Brian Wilson to Ronnie Lane, Charles Stepney to The Mizzell Brothers, The Superimposers create a wonderfulsound.

They are Dan Solo (Omnichord), Miles Copeland (Sea Organ), Shawn Lee (vocals, guitar) and come from Bournemouth, UK. Their (self titled) debut album was released in 2005, a second album “Harpsichord Treacle” in 2008 and a summer pop EP “Sunshine Pops” was released in 2010.

The Boat People

The Boat People – also called The Boaties, have pretty much ruled the Australian music scene, since the formation in 2002 by childhood friends James O’Brien (vox/bass), Robin Waters (vox/keys), Charles Dugan (vox/guitar) and Tony Garrett (drums).

And the last year; The Boat People have rocked the world, and received four star review in Uncut (UK), snared a place in the top 50 albums of the year by Planet Sound (UK), toured the US three times and the UK twice playing SXSW, CMJ Music Marathon, The Great Escape and a live set on KCRW and gained radio play on over 20 stations in the US with influential tastemaker Nic Harcourt recently declaring The Boat People his favourite Australian band.

The last album “Dear Darkly” was released in July 2010. They’ve previously released “Squeky Clean EP” (2002), “Three Pieces For Small Ensemble EP” (2003), “YesYesYesYesYes” (2005), “Chandeliers”(2008) and “The Boat People EP” (2009).
