The Ray Summers was formed in Falkirk, UK (2008) by Lee Burgoyne (drums), Jackson (guitar), Dougie (guitar), Andy Ure (Lead vocals), Billy Kay (bass & vocals) and Davey (keyboard, guitar & vocals).

They have received major press interest in 2008 and supported bands like Sergeant, Alabama 3, Alphabeat, Paulo Nutini, Idlewild and The Automatic. As well as having their own sellout headline King Tuts gig.

This is the kind of music you easily can be found of. This is funky, steady and psychical rhythm garage ska punk of a creative intention. They also have a refreshing 60′s sound.

Boots and Cats have a very interesting mix of psychedelic 60′s soul/rock. It’s almost seems like some sort of unusual collection of left-over’s they didn’t use on the other songs, which is pretty cool. And maybe also the typical sound of The Ray Summers.
