The Fancy Toys

The Fancy Toys
Take two guys with some toys, a monkey (the mascot – every band need a mascot, right?) and a good dose of some French influences. And result is imaginary toy music. Or something like that.
That, mixed with the strange collection of acoustic jazz guitars, glockenspiel, ukulele, stylophone, cajon, drums, shakers, glockenspiel, melodion and the famous shoe-tambo. Gives you a playful soundtrack of a French love movie, and so much more.
There’s hard to explain this music as don’t fit in to any genre. But, there are still some genres you can recognize, like thoughtful and happy retro pop/jazz.
The duo of James Duncan and Mickaël Téo has been writing, playing both live and in the studio, with many artists for a long time. And they have performed at some of the most prestigious venues, all over the world.
The Fancy Toys was one of the finalists of Metro’s new best band competition in 2008.
