Josh Weller

The story of Josh Weller’s solo performance began when he for about two years ago graduated from Leeds College of Music, where he learned to play guitar, keyboards and saxophone.

His music can easily be describes as modern, original, good old fashioned big beat witty pop. His musical inspirations come from “old musicians”, like Randy Newman and the 1940′s Cole Porter, George Gershwin, Irving Berlin and Chet Baker.
And he has earlier been describes as “a collision between Elvis Costello & Randy Newman in winklepickers”.

That description, combined with some humorous, quirky and very well written lyrics, makes this music interesting and inventive.
