Stars and Sons

The story of Stars and Sons started in Brighton in October 2007 when Mike Lord started his more-or-less (short) failure career as ice cream sales man, hot dog vendor and telesales monkey. This wasn’t important for him so he decided to turn his major to music. (Most likely one of the best choice he’ve ever made.)

The official story of the band Stars and Sons began in September 2008 when Paul Steel (bass, vocals), Sandy Buglass (guitar, vocals and Stuart Provan (drums) joined him.

This music can be describes as jazzy POP/rock/psychedelic/live (noisy) acoustic. And this is what you hear when Ben Folds meets Eels and Flaming Lips.

The first single “In The Ocean” was released in November 2008. And the debut EP “The Goat Show” came out around the same time. They are currently working on the debut album, due for a early 2010 release.
