Indica Ritual

The cool combination of duplo rock/prog pop/alternative/stadium wonk makes this music indescribable. The next “big thing” within music are a mix of totally different genres get mixed together in a way you wouldn’t believe was possible. It’s possible – and it’s Indica Ritual.

This colorful band was formed in Liverpool for about two years ago by Nick, Tom, Ferg, George and Andre.

They’ve released the single Tradeshow/Looking for Derek (2007) and the EP Four Blockheads Go Pop. (2006)

The last single Seamless Ejaculation with its flip-side Alpha Male was released in September 2009 through two independent Liverpool based labels, Samizdat and Post Music.

The two tracks here give you a great view of how mad and experimental crazy this music is.

The first single, “Seamless Ejaculation” give you the usual new wave vibes, mixed with a steady and at the same time irregular rhythm rock sound. Something that makes this to a inventive and new wave experimental piece of work.

“Alpha Male” makes sense – in a weird way. A combination of trumpet rock, experimental rock and some quirky vocals is give you something of the most unsystematic and unpredictable thing you’ll hear from Indica Ritual.

They are currently working on the debut album, due out 2010.
